The past 5 days have been amazing. Our friends down from Florida came up to visit North Carolina for Spring break. It was pretty much, hands down, one of the best Spring breaks I’ve ever had. Who needs Cancun or Panama when you can just be around your closest friends that you barely see. Even though they left tonight, the bonds and memories will stay with us forever.
In the beginning, I was worried about what we would do here in North Carolina and how to host. But what I realized that it didn’t matter, as long as we’re all together. We shared laughs, created tons of inside jokes, and most definitely strengthened our relationships with one another. Even though I’m bummed out right now since they left to go home not to long ago, I’m happy and thankful for everything that has happened throughout these couple of days. In the end, what I’ve learned is to appreciate ALL the time you have with your loved ones. Because once they’re gone, you’re gonna miss them so much. Cherish each minute and second, and be thankful for every little thing.
This is my favorite quote since high school, and it definitely relates to this situation:
Hold friendships and family sacred and never take this life for granted* Always give your friends and loved ones that extra 5 second hug and i love you cause it will mean the world to you one day.
We’re all growing and things are changing, and, sadly, I know these Florida/North Carolina trips will eventually come to an end. That’s why I always take the time to appreciate each and every one of them. I thank God and thank him for every single one of them. I don’t know any other group of people who drives countless amounts of trips down to Florida just to hang out with friends and vice versa. I am truly grateful and thankful for such good friends that I can be with no matter how far the distance. On the good note, I still see a lot of Florida/North Carolina trips in the future! AYYEEE!! So I just have to keep living my life, make smart choices (like what Monette told me), and make the best out of everything!
Thank you Patrick, Monette, Jonah, Mercado, Ken, and Cheryl for the good time! You’re always welcome here in North Carolina! See y’all soon!
